And I used to be a network engineer…
My home WiFi is on the blink. Just like that - it was working one day, then not working the next. So far I’ve tried changing the channel, rebooting the router a dozen times, even swapping out the router for a new one that Verizon sent me a few months ago for no reason. No dice. Both my iBook and my IBM laptop fail to see the network (SSID THX1138 - my homage to George Lucas). At this point I have no idea what the problem is.
Fortunately one of my PCs is wired, so I’m still connected. I’ll take another stab at it later today.
Update: It’s working again - but not quite as strong a signal as previously. I think there is either something in the house or our new neighbors have something in the 2.4ghz range that is interfering with the WiFi signal in the house. I have more to investigate. Stay tuned.
